Papa Balloon is a BALLOON ARTIST who specializes in producing unique balloon art that will fascinate and enthrall you and your guests or patrons. For over 30 years he has performed in and around the Midwest at such events as the Cedar Rapids Farmers Market, The Iowa Children’s Museum, The Cedar Rapids Country Club, The Race for the Cure, and other events too numerous to name! Combining the deft touch of his hero in art, Grant Wood, and the skill of a long time professional entertainer, Papa Balloon creates absolutely unique balloon art INDIVIDUALLY for his clients on a one to one basis. Each sculpture is entirely different, and Papa Balloon has often worked for hours on end WITHOUT DUPLICATING A SINGLE BALLOON PIECE! And as his fingers shape and twist the balloon, he is always chattering with the people around him, telling jokes and kidding the clients young and old. He LOVES to play pranks, and be careful if you ask for a “sword” because you just may end up in Full pirate regalia or a Viking helmet complete with long braids! His #1 Rule is, “You can request ANYTHING that you like. But I will make you what I want!” After all, you don’t know what he can DO! He particularly enjoys the game of “Stump the chump” where his (usually small) client asks him to make something they think he can’t do. Whether it is a 32 Ford Hot rod, a Bulldozer, a Fairy sitting in a flower, a ROSE inside a bubble, or any of a THOUSAND other creations. Papa Balloon can make your Event TOTALLY unique and un forgettable! Not JUST for children, He has experienced ADULTS arguing over WHO will get the next Papa Balloon Sculpture and has gotten STANDING OVATIONS for some of his creations. His most UNUSUAL pieces are Caricatures of people. Doctors, Lawyers, children in snow pants, a harmonica player, an Orthodox Priest….Anybody!
